Doug & Pete will be hosting this Saturday Night dress to impress shindig at one of our favorite new venues: Synthesis Performing Arts Center in Pasadena, CA.
DJs for the evening: Doug Silton, Jack Smith, Shaheed Qaasim
On Saturday, February 11th we’ll have two different ballrooms jamming different tunes for all you westies. All ages. Plus free wine sampling (for those 21+).
Of course we’ll have our “single” vs. “taken” wristbands and a few other Valentine’s surprises during the night!
Our new venue has professionally sprung wood floors, 2 huge free parking lots, and a true New York feel.

Where’s Westie Bomb
This Friday, December 16th — Brother Yusef is celebrating his 10th year of playing at Downtown Disney!
Since we always dance to his awesome recorded music, and many times he’s come to play at Westie dances, this time we should ALL go to him!
Since Doug is gone and there’s no Where’s Westie this month –
Where’s Westie and SoCal Swing Dance are promptly teaming up for this event!
Let’s all get down to Disney to party and celebrate with Brother Yusef!
Here’s the deal
Where: Downtown Disney — 1580 S Disneyland Dr, Anaheim, CA 9280
When: This FRIDAY — December 16th, 2011
7:00pm – 10:00pm
-This is totally unofficial
-There’s no cover (read: FREE) ..cause we’re outside in the middle of a mall
-We’ll be outside, and it might be a bit chilly. So dress appropriately for the weather! And we’ll be dancing on concrete.
-Brother Yusef takes breaks…so we’ll grab a snack or drink, or something 
-This is gonna be awesome and fun, and the music is gonna rock. Probably don’t expect a full on dance experience. Expect a good time chillin with friends, hangin out, listening to music and dancing.

Where’s Westie Droidiversary Podcast

We have an awesome show for you all this week, Yes-siree Bob!
This month’s podcast with Doug and Pete brings to you some new banging jams we’ve happened across, some Halloween spunk, and some special sneek peek listens to a couple tracks from Benji Schwimmer’s band!
His band is called “The Weekend Forcast” and their debut album titled Sun, Doubts, and Scenic Routes is gearing up to be released soon, from our preliminary listens so far, it’s pretty droid’n awesome.

The official 1-year anniversary of Where’s Westie! The dance venue that’s always a good time to be had by all.

8:30 PM – The Best of Jack Smith (with DJ Jack Smith)
10:00 PM – New Tune-age for WCS with DJs Doug & Pete

12:00 PM – Mixing It Up til 1 AM Music

WW13: A Birthday Extravaganza

Our next Where’sWestie is only a few weeks away on the 12th of September 2011!
We’re super excited to introduce all you dancers to a new venue in Hollywood called “Spot5750” .
This place is HUGE, and AWESOME. You’ll definitely want to see it for yourself.
Nice bar and ballroom area with sweet lighting and nice TVs all around the room, also separate rooms with Pool tables for some non-dancing activity!
Details are as follows:
Doors open at 7:30 with preliminary music — show up, scope the spot, and get yo drank on!
Intermediate WCS class with Pete & Doug @ 8pm – 8:30pm
WW scheduled music starts at 8:30pm – 12:30am
Cover: $7 with VIP card/OCWCSDC membership — $9 for general admission
